Over the past several years, health care reform has been a widely discussed topic at both the state and federal levels. Policy discussions have focused not only on how to cover the cost of insuring the millions of Americans who lack insurance, but also on how to improve quality of care while lowering cost. Many in the healthcare industry believe that Health Information Technology (HIT), including Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR), holds some promise as a tool for achieving better quality care at lower cost. This bibliography provides resources about HIT, EMR, and EHR.
