<description>2007 Wisconsin Act 226, the budget adjustment act, passed by the legislature and signed by Governor Doyle on May 16, 2008, includes a provision that allows cellular telephones to be added to the state's nonsolicitation directory, popularly known as the No Call List. Act 226 became effective on May 31, 2008.</description>

<title>Protecting Children From Unsafe Products</title>

<description>Since 2007, legislation has been passed in five states to regulate "children's products" in some form, while 25 other states have seen legislation introduced in relation to child product safety. One bill was introduced in Wisconsin and was passed by the senate, but it was not acted on by the assembly before the end of the 2007-2008 general floor session.</description>
